Ardgillan Castle and Gardens is a real gem set in spectacular parklands and gardens. It overlooks the Irish Sea with a magnificent view of the Mourne Mountains and Lambay Island.

Ardgillan Castle and Demesne is approx 32km north of Dublin City. Built in 1738 by Rev. Robert Taylor, the 18th century country styled house was originally named Prospect House.

The demesne features Victorian style walled gardens containing fruit, vegetables and herbs that once supplied the house with fresh produce, alongside glasshouses and a colourful rose garden.

Today, Ardgillan Castle and Gardens is a stunning visitor attraction, with an impressive range of experiences including guided castle and garden tours, theatre performances, afternoon tea, a café, a fairy trail, a children’s playground and much more.
